Check Verification

Verify whether a check is recorded in our check-control system before accepting or negotiating it.

Verify a Check

Enter the information exactly as it appears on the check. Minor typing errors in the payee name may be tolerated.

Look for the QR code on the check. The Company ID # is printed next to or beneath it.

Use the name printed after “Pay to the Order of.”
Turn the check over and enter the control number printed on the back.
Check security featuresLook for CREEDE ACCOUNTING & PAYROLL printed along the check margin, a Company ID # next to or beneath the QR code, and a control number on the reverse.

For security, the verifier does not disclose which individual field failed to match.

This verification service is an informational fraud-prevention tool. A successful verification means the submitted information corresponds to a check recorded in our system at the time of the inquiry. It does not certify the check or available funds, guarantee payment, or promise that a financial institution will honor the check. Check status may subsequently change.

An unsuccessful verification does not independently establish that a check is fraudulent. Financial institutions and recipients should follow their own verification and risk-control procedures.
